A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, just ahead! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where could someone find a pair like yours?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt golden goose slides good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.
Discount sources?
Check out my list below. I had a amazing experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.

How much do they go for?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400–$1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
Are they true to size?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
